Joshua Moniz wins the Volcom Pipe Pro 2018
Those who win the title of the Volcom Pipe Pro Masters are among the absolute elite of the world's pro-surfers. Because this contest has it all and takes place annually at the notorious Northshore of Oahu (Hawai).
The Spot Pipeline produces an extremely fast, steep and powerful wave in good conditions, forming the perfect barrels and should be surfed only by experienced surfers. For this reason, the title of the Volcom Pipe Pro Masters is highly coveted among all professional surfers because it means absolute respect in the surf world and perfection in terms of surfing ability.
The title of the Pipe Pro Masters earned this year the native Hawaiian Joshua Moniz and triggered with it of course great cheers and joy on the whole island of Oahu in Hawai.
It was a head-to-head race with none other than the highly experienced Northshore and Pipeline surfer Jamie O'Brien, who ended up with a Perfect-10 rating and took a great second place. Incidentally, in the last year of 2017, the honored title won no less than John John Florence.
We sincerely congratulate Josh Moniz on this huge success and wish him all the best for the future.
