Galicia, located in the uttermost northwest of Spain, was considered the end of the world – Finisterrae – until the discovery of the Americas. Up to now, this remote part of the Iberian peninsula is widely untroubled by the effects of mass-tourism and therefor still considered an insider tip.
The Camino Surfcamp Galicia is situated on a small, well-kept campsite and offers different accommodation-options. The bathroom facilities are right next to the camp and get cleaned on a daily basis. There is a small supermarket, a restaurant, and a pizzeria right next to the Surfcamp as well as two more supermarkets and several Cafés and restaurants in walking distance.
If you still got some power left after the surf-sessions, you might burn off your excess energy with Table-Tennis, Indo-Boarding, Skateboarding, or you get yourself on one of our Mountainbikes to explore the fascinating hinterland of Valdoviño. Also, you can let your mind wander while you relax in one of the hammocks or get connected to the “outside-world” on the Camp-Computer with Internet-connection.
Our nutritious surf dinner provides for your physical well-being and in the evenings you can set out on discovering the pubs and bars of Valdoviño or chill-out in the camp, watching a video in our surf-cinema… Hang loose!
Prices and deals
We are happy to offer you our package with accommodation either in the:
- glamping-temple ("glamping" = glamorous camping: handmade beduin-tents from Morocco with head-room, levelled wooden floor, 2 beds with mattresses, sheets and pillows, power-supply, and a moroccon ambient-lamp)
- Shared Apartment (there are max. 6 people per apartment, in 4-bed-rooms (with bunk-beds) and 2-bedrooms/single-rooms
- Surf Hostel (either in a dorm-room or a single-room with shared bathroom or in the ocean-view-suite with private bathroom)
and a 5-day/20 hours surfcourse which includes:
- 4 hours surfcourse per day: 3 hours in the water and about 1 hour theory
- Video- and Photo-analysis
- surf-equipment: surfboard, wetsuit, leash, wax
- free use of equipment after surf-lessons if conditions are appropriate
- accident and liability-insurance during course-hours
- beach-transfers (if necessary)
- for the 5-day/10-day surfcourse: a fair-trade, organic-cotton camp-t-shirt
We do not have fixed schedules for our courses as we always try to find the best slots for our courses depending on the surf-level of the students and as well depending on the waves, the tides, the wind, etc. The course takes place on 5 days per week - Sunday is the day off for the team: so no classes on Sunday!
The package starts from 489,- EUR.
There is also the possibility to upgrade to a single-tent/single-glamping/single-room in the apartment or go for an apartment just for yourself or a bungalow.
Optionally you can also book our 7'6"-Culinario-Full-Board-Package, consisting of 7x breakfast and packed lunch and 6x dinner per week. This comes to 159,- EUR per person and per week.
