The VA HOSTEL GRAN CANARIA is one of the best surf hostel in Europe due to its stunning location: right over Las Canteras beach, the numerous nearby surf spots, our personal all-round service and a very special infrastructure tailored for surfing requirements.

We are offering shared rooms for 4 to 6 persons. Our best room with private bathroom and amazing sea views is El Frontón. The cheapest way to stay is in our 6 beds dorms with shared bathroom called Trinidad.

You will probably like it best in our open-air chill-out area – also known as the “Surfer’s throne over Canteras beach”. Hammocks, deck chairs and rocking chairs, sofas, a barbecue corner, al-fresco shower that will make you want to stay forever and our rooftop bar coco loco where you can enjoy an ice-cold cerveza tropical, the local beer. Not to forget the fantastic views of the sea, from here you can check out the waves at sunrise while you are still brushing your teeth.

Fully equipped is no empty promise. The kitchen boasts a coffee machine, dishwasher, big fridge, stove and microwave. As we live in the surfhouse ourselves, you will always have a multilingual contact in the house. We organise weekly outings to explore our multifaceted island. You can also feel free to organise barbecues with other surfers on the rooftop terrace.

So, no matter whether you are travelling alone or with your partner in our surfhouse you will make friends quickly and get to meet interesting people from all over the world.

TRINIDAD
These are our ground-floor dormitories with 6 comfortable single beds, solid wood bunk beds and stylish curtains. Many long-term guests and backpackers enjoy the low prices while having access to all the comforts of home. There is plenty of room for your personal belongings around the well-structured room concept in the wardrobe and the additional security lockers in the hallway. This room shares the bathroom in the hallway, but only a few steps from the door of your room. The rooms were renovated in 2016.

BOQUINES
It is our upstairs dorm with 6 comfortable bunk beds. This dorm is the only room on the first floor of the house and on the same level as the rooftop ocean view. This room for 6 people has a private bathroom, which is only used by the people in this room. Since the house is so close to the beach, you can hear the sound of the sea as soon as you open the windows. This room also has a large wardrobe and a dresser for your clothes.

MOLOKAI
This spacious 4-person dormitory is located on the ground floor of our hostel. It offers sea views and fresh Atlantic air through two large windows. Of all of our dormitories, this is the closest to the ocean, so the sound of the ocean will relax you and make you sleep like a baby. The bespoke bunk beds are tailored to the needs of a hostel. They are spacious so you can sit comfortably in them. In addition, they have plenty of space under the beds so that everyone can stow their luggage without disturbing other guests or making the room look messy.

LA BARRA
This is a 4 person dorm. It is big, bright and has a good concept of light and ventilation. In addition, the rooms were completely renovated in the summer of 2015 and equipped with new beds and mattresses. If you travel with a lot of luggage and need your privacy, this is the perfect space for you.

EL FRONTÓN
This is the best room of the surf house. A spacious 6-person dormitory with a private bathroom and stunning sea views. You will fall asleep and wake up to the sound of the ocean and direct views of the Atlantic Ocean.
