Our mission was simple; to create a brilliant surf camp that provided something different and a little special. We really are a family, and we employ local people providing fair wages and working conditions. We give back to the community in many ways, from supporting vulnerable people, to covering medical expenses, providing rubbish collection and recycling, to helping out local schools and temples.

Do expect to: see local kids and elders on site, be welcomed like family, hear the sounds of the sea from your bed, see parrots, crows, dogs and cows, see the local fishermen going about their work and to leave having made life long friends. Our restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and can cater to all tastes, budgets and dietary needs.

Don't expect: a polished, boutique hotel that could be anywhere!

Prices and deals

Our traditional wooden cabanas, hand crafted by local carpenters from sustainable mango wood, have simple furnishings, hand-made 6ft double beds with mosquito nets, a safe for your valuables, wall mounted fans and huge shuttered windows to the front, which can be opened up completely to make the most of the cooling sea breezes. They are all ensuite (some shower rooms are open to the stars) and all have balconies or outside seating areas.

LIGHTHOUSE- ground floor cabana underneath Shantha, with ensuite shower room and outside seating area. £350/week B&B, from £400pppw surf or yoga camp.

Nestled just behind the cabanas, in their own garden, is The Green House, our brand new luxury rooms for those who like a few more creature comforts! These rooms all have hot water and AC, 6ft handcrafted double beds with mosquito nets, huge ensuite showrooms, a safe for your valuables and large balconies with seating. The top and middle floor rooms have stunning sea views. Bottom floor rooms do not have a sea view, but outdoor seating areas that open onto the private garden.
